Tsering Wangmo Dhompa (born 1969〔http://asitoughttobe.com/2009/11/28/saturday-poetry-series-presents-tsering-wangmo-dhompa/〕) is the first Tibetan female poet to be published in English.〔(Writings On Tibet ) The Tibetan Association of Northern California & The Oakland Asian Cultural Center〕 She was raised in India and Nepal. Tsering received her BA from Lady Sri Sram College, Delhi University.
